The sun is shining after 3 long weeks of non stop rain. I threw open every single window, curtain and shade in my house to let as much air and light flow through. January is the only month I get tired of winter. Funny thing, I don't mind winter in February, or even March, but something about the dreary skies of Janurary just makes me cringe.
More news. I have been stocking a few of my hot spot thrift stores for the last few days looking for a few items, and I found a really great piece. I haven't started the project yet, but will in a few days, which of course ill then post pictures and a recap.
After a stop and go basis, I've finally got the motivation and desire to go to the gym. In addition to me going, I've motivated Sparky as well. I can't wait for some kick butt work outs!
The dog has a new horrible habit of running in muddy puddles. Every single time we take him for a walk, he heads into the biggest puddle he can possibly find and jumps right in. SO annoying and SO funny. I wouldn't have a problem with this if it wasn't a) 30 degrees outside and B) we didn't have white carpet. Oh well. It's not the end of the world, and obvisouly we'll be buying a carpet cleaner.
And last but not least. My long time blog friend is having her baby today! I'm so excited for her and her husband and cannot wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl! Run over and check out her nursery ( or house for that matter) it's awesome!

ONE WINTER DAY...
I live in up state Oregon. We get rain. A lot of rain..I'm talking at least 5 days out of the week Fall through Spring rain.
I love the rain. I love green grass, green trees. I love the smell, and the freshness in the air.
I also sort of love the rain attire. They have the cutest rain boots now days, and of course this season, being my first winter up here I had to spluge and buy some!
Purchased at target
I've always wanted a pair, just for pure cuteness but never needed them in California.
Now...you know what I hate about the rain?
The fact that when I walk our dog to the field to use the restroom I have to watch every single place I step because of the invasion of slugs. There are seriously thousands of them. GROSS!
And that folks, is reason enough to buy rainboots :)

A NEW BEGINNING
This is the start of a new year, a new life, new challenges and a new blog. Those of you that know me, know what I have been through in the last year. It's been hard, and difficult. I'm not one to sulk and think the worse, instead I pick up and head in a new direction.
I enjoy blogging. I've had a blog for the past 3 years. Unfortunately for me, when going through a bit of a rough streak during the fall, I deleted my emails associated with them.Which meant, those blogs no longer exist. I think I needed the time away though. I think I needed not to be reminded of what was suppose to be...So for me, this is a step in a new life.
A few things I'd like to blog about in the coming months:
Traveling: I own a Halloween business. So traveling is just part of my job. But I also enjoy traveling for fun.
Furniture Restoration: I've recently establish a true passion restoring old unloved furniture. I never know what i'll come across but I'm always up for a challenge!
Photography: I bought a canon 50D last year and cannot take enough photos. I've even done some professional work and hoping to do more in my spare time.
Cooking/Baking/Recipes: I love to cook. I love to eat. And so does everyone in my family. I'm always looking for new recipes to try, and always loving the old simple ones too. i'll post weekly dinner menus
(which are mostly healthy!) and let me know what you think!
Everyday Life: This to me is so broad. I have a busy life. Although i'm type A and always a planner, I have a man who is type Z and never plans a thing. I never fully know what's going on, which is both annoying and exciting at the same time.
I look forward to blogging!......again
